Extracts from the Statutes of SenGermany e.V.
Preamble
On 18 May 2012 Senegalese citizens from different Federal States met in Reutlingen and decided to put the regime of their country in a better light in Germany, as precisely this year Senegal once again showed the entire world that democracy, free elections and freedom of opinion, the fight against corruption and for equal opportunities between men and women are permanently anchored features in our society. As it is no matter of common knowledge in Germany that elections have taken place in Senegal since 1848, and that our country is the only African state having seen four Presidents in the last 50 years, who were freely elected, that there has never been a coup d'état or a dictatorship, respectively a military government in Senegal, and that women accounted for more than 40% of the members in the newly elected Parliament in July 2012, we now feel committed to campaign for these accomplishments in Germany and to fight from Germany for a situation where this evolution, for which we have been globally congratulated, will stabilize and can be expanded to include all social groups and branches of industry.
